WS-09: Workshop on Secure FutureG Wireless Communications and Networked Systems (Secure-FutureG)

WS-09: Workshop on Secure FutureG Wireless Communications and Networked Systems (Secure-FutureG)

Overview

To meet the future needs of various emerging applications, such as autonomous driving, augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR), digital twins, artificial intelligence, smartX (e.g., smart city, smart grid, smart health), researchers, engineers, and policy makers have started to plan and architect the next generations (6G  and FutureG/NextG/xG) of wireless communications and networked systems, offering the potential for multiscale, global connectivity, and distributions. New generations of wireless networks will bring ample new opportunities, but also pose new challenges. Other than the needs to meet various quality-of-service (QoS) and performance goals (e.g., low cost, low power, low latency, and scalability) for diverse applications, ensuring security, privacy, and resiliency of the FutureG/NetxG wireless communications and networked systems is of utmost importance. Addressing these challenges call for novel architectural design and implementation approaches so as to accommodate new operational paradigms and enable new technologies -- such as open RAN (O-RAN), spectrum sharing, integrated sensing and communication, extremely/tremendously high frequency (mmWave/THz) communication -- to be applied in FutureG/NextG wireless networked systems.

The goal of this workshop is to promote the design and development of FutureG/NextG wireless communications and networked systems, with a particular emphasis on security, privacy, and resiliency. This workshop will serve as a forum for researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government, to exchange novel ideas, present new results, and provide future visions.
