Call for Classified Technical Papers

MILCOM 2024 solicits classified technical papers and panels, up to Top Secret//SCI/SI-TK, on current and emerging topics.  The classified program will focus on increasing resilience through hybrid communications architecture.  Topics will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:

  • DoD network architectures
  • Advanced technology supporting multiple orbits and frequencies
  • Interoperability of commercial and MILCOM systems
  • AI/ML enabling hybrid SATCOM
  • Nuclear Command, Control & Communications (NC3)
  • Future generation wireless technology

Classified Technical Paper Submission Deadline: 24 June 2024.

All paper submissions should be written in English with draft papers up to six (6) printed pages in length, two-column, single-spaced with 10-point font on US Letter paper.  Final papers that exceed six (6) pages will be assessed a per-page over-length charge of US$150/page, up to a maximum of eight (8) total pages. Standard IEEE Transactions template for Microsoft Word and LaTeX formats can be found at:

DO NOT EMAIL classified materials directly.  Before submitting your manuscript, please email classified program chairs (Kris Reese; Tamer Rafaei & Lori Jeromin) for full submission instructions.

Classified technical papers will have a rigorous review process following IEEE policy. Each paper will have at least three qualified reviewers and acceptance will be decided based on technical merits and relevance to the conference program.  Submitted papers should not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously, and IEEE will take action against any author who has engaged in either practice.
